Our Story

 

Hi! We are Laura and David Kephart. We started Simple Foods back in 2002 with one goal in mind: make natural and local, high quality food available to our community.

We started this journey in Salida, Colorado, where we operated for 18 years before the onset of COVID-19 and new, bigger grocery chains entering the scene.

Today we proudly serve the Del Norte community and hope to provide an outlet for local, natural producers and farmers in the surrounding area.

We believe in and support the local food movement, organic farming practices and regenerative soil farming. We feel this is best for the community, the environment, and that it results in the most nutritional food to consume.
